U.S. News & World Report names top 50 Children’s hospitals

U.S. News & World Report has named its list of top 50 children’s hospitals in the nation, according to a press release.

According to U.S. News & World Report, the rankings include the top 50 hospitals in each of 10 pediatric specialties: cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology, neonatology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology, and urology. The rankings were compiled from a survey of 178 pediatric centers that included clinical data in 10 specialties and also asked 150 pediatric specialists in each specialty where they would send the sickest children.

The top hospitals on the list are:

1. Boston Children’s Hospital
1. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
3. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center
4. Texas Children’s Hospital (Houston)
5. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
6. Seattle Children’s Hospital
7. Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago
8. Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus, Ohio)
8.  Children’s Hospital Colorado (Aurora)
10. Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC
10.  Johns Hopkins Children’s Center (Baltimore)
10. St. Louis Children’s Hospital-Washington University
