The Agency for Health Research and Quality has posted State Snapshots to its website, which provide State-specific health care quality information, including strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement, according to AHA News Now.
The information used to create the State Snapshots is based on data collected for the National Healthcare Quality Report (NHQR). The snapshots provide summary measures of quality by type of care including preventive, acute and chronic, and clinical areas including cancer, diabetes, heart disease, maternal and child health and respiratory diseases. States can compare their data to other states.
The goal is to help State officials and their public- and private-sector partners better understand health care quality and disparities in their State.
