Thomson Reuters releases list of top performing health systems

Thomson Reuters has released its annual list of top performing health systems in the United States, according to a release by Thomson Reuters.

To be considered for the list, a health system must have at least two short-term, general acute-care hospitals.  Health systems were then rated on quality measures which include risk-adjusted mortality, complications, and patient safety indexes; 30-day risk-adjusted mortality and readmissions rates; severity-adjusted average length of stay, and HCAHPS score.
