NQF Endorses Outcome Measures for Mental Health, Child Health, and high impact areas

National Quality Forum has endorsed outcome measures for children’s health, mental health, and high impact areas, according to PR Newswire.

According to the article, the mental health outcomes focus on patient satisfaction during inpatient stays.  The children’s health outcomes include general health assessments and specific procedures and conditions such as neonatal surgery and asthma.  The measures for high impact areas include measures in stroke, pneumonia, acute myocardial infarction, and colorectal surgery.
