Critics of CMS Physician Compare Website report that it is confusing

Critics of the new Physician Compare website report that it the site is confusing and unfriendly to consumers, painfully slow and factually unreliable, according to Kaiser Health News.

The article states that the site was launched by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as part of a requirement of the Patient Affordable Care act and designed to be consumer friendly and help patients locate health professionals in their communities.

CMS says that in 2012 they will implement a plan for making available more comprehensive quality and patient experience data.
