U.S. News & World Report releases annual “Best Hospitals” list

U.S. News & World Report has released its 21st "America's Best Hospitals" report.  The list was compiled by evaluating 4,852 hospitals across 16 specialties.  One hundred and fifty-two facilities earned high enough scores to be included in the rankings.

This year’s "Honor Roll" recognizes 14 facilities that achieved high scores in six or more specialties:

1. Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, Md.)
2. Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.)
3. Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, Mass.)
4. Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, Ohio)
5. Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (Los Angeles, Calif.)
6. New York-Presbyterian University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell (New York, N.Y.)
7. University of California-San Francisco Medical Center (San Francisco, Calif.)
8. Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University (St. Louis, Mo.)
9. Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pa.)
10. Duke University Medical Center (Durham, N.C.)
11. Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston, Mass.)
12. University of Washington Medical Center (Seattle, Wash.)
13. UPMC-University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (Pittsburgh, Pa.)
14. University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Systems (Ann Arbor, Mich.)
