IHI's Bisognano says patients to be more involved in care in the future

Maureen Bisognano, the new president and CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, reported in an interview with the Boston Globe, that patients will be more involved in their care in the future.  She says that the current payment system in the United States has forced physicians to move away from this model of care, but is optimistic that a change in the right direction is happening.
