Credentialing important to assure quality in health care

The credentialing process looks at the education, skills and licensing of health care professionals and helps to assure that talented, experienced and qualified employees are hired.  Credentialing checks should also be repeated every two years to assure that employers have the most up to date information on their employees.

Unfortunately, the credentialing process can be a burden to hospitals.  It often requires tracking down information from many different sources, which can be time consuming.  The burden of credentialing can be eased by use of automated credentialing suites, which can automatically manage the credentialing process.
