The National Quality Forum (NQF) and The Joint Commission today announced the 2009 recipients of the annual John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Awards. Honorees were selected in all five award categories. These annual awards recognize the achievements of individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to improving patient safety and health care quality, and individuals and organizations who, through a specific initiative or project, have made an important contribution to patient safety and health care quality in the areas of research or system innovation.
