U.S. News releases annual best Children’s Hospitals report

U.S. News and World Report yesterday released its 20th annual list of the nation’s “Best Children’s Hospitals,” this year doing away with an overarching best hospital list and instead creating an “Honor Roll” containing facilities that earned a spot on the top-30 lists for all 10 specialties surveyed. The 2009 Honor Roll recipients include:

• Children’s Hospital Boston

• Children’s Hospital, Denver

• Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

• Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

• Children’s Medical Center, Dallas

• Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center

• Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, Baltimore

• New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley-Children’s Hospital

• St. Louis Children’s Hospital-Washington University

• Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston

The complete list—which is available on the magazine’s website —will appear in U.S. News’ August issue, which will be available in print July 21
