New York coalition releases state hospital report card

The Niagara Health Quality Coalition earlier this week released its seventh annual New York State Hospital Report Card, showing that statewide, the risk-adjusted mortality rate for nearly all procedures and medical conditions has improved.

The report—which compares a wide range of mortality, safety, and utilization data for individual institutions across the state—for the first time includes patient satisfaction information based on federal data from 2007 and 2008. Click here for the web site.
